We welcome and rely on volunteers in almost every aspect of our theatre operations; whether that is an actor, costumer, technical worker, set builder or house manager.

Front of House Manager Position Available

The Front of House (FOH) Manager at Olympia Little Theatre is responsible for ensuring an exceptional and memorable experience for all patrons attending performances and events. This role includes a variety of customer service tasks, such as greeting guests, checking tickets, providing information, and assisting with seating. The FOH Manager must be friendly, professional, and attentive to the needs of the audience.

Hours will be mainly 5-10pm Thursdays Fridays and Saturdays and 12-4:30 on Sundays when we have a play in production.  This schedule is during our theater Season (Sept-July) and plays are typically every other month.

The position requires excellent verbal communication skills, computer knowledge, and the ability to work independently.  Box office or Front of Theater experience are very helpful!  Patience, a willingness to learn and a sense of humor are a must.

Ability to stay organized in an unstructured, sometimes chaotic environment

DESIRED QUALITIES

Knowledge of theatre production cycle, box office experience, front of house experience.

COMPENSATION:  Generally, 15-20 hours a week when a production is up with the possibilities of additional hours for special projects.  Pay will start at $16.50 per hour DOE.

Usher

Sign up to volunteer as a Usher or Host during one or more performances.  Ushers and Hosts are volunteers that greet people and work along side our box office manager to help things run smoothly before the show begins.  It’s a great way to get to be a part of the action and meet new friends. Backstage

Are you ready to do more than just watch? Learn how to set up and run stage lighting, construct sets, be a stage manager, or create and provide sound for a production. There are plenty of other jobs, too! Being part of a stage crew can be as interactive as you like. And remember, the experience is great, but Olympia Little Theatre thrives on the volunteers who have a true interest in community theatre.
